Im a newbie to blogging and found it fun lurking on class mates blogs learning more about people in my class and connecting with people that have things in common with. after seeing most of the blogs their were a couple that i really liked.

BLOG SITES

While scoping the net for design blogs one of my favorite had to be thecoolhunter.net. The blog features abit of everything thats "cool" right now from the most up to date gadgets, art, music, fashion and of course architecture design. One of my favorite features of this blog was Fur hairdressing salon in Melbourne the "eclectic" 70s vibe to the architecture definitely sets it apart from rest.Some other blogs thats i found interesting were coolboom.net, which featured  architecture and interior architecture.

FLUID FORM

One of our projects as a first year design student at Victoria University was Fluid form, this project encouraged us to explore the idea of the curved form and allowed us to get creative with exploring any material we wished to use.

We choose a precedents work for inspiration I choose HERZOG + DE MEURON and also ZAKARY KINNAIRDS work because I could relate their work to brief and they have done some really neat work.

My form was made from drafting film because i really like the way it could be manipulated in to a curved form that flowed will. I used cuts in the drafting film to allow the texture of the form to be more interesting and strengthen the curves of my simple form.
